TSUNAGU
This project is a part of "9 stools + 9 wearables"
"TUNAGU" means "to plug-in" or "to connect" in Japanese. This project explores various levels of connection: users to stools, stools to wearables, wearables to users, stools to a rug, etc... These connections may be made via colors, materials or structural compositions. I wanted to play with the sense of belonging and connection through this project. Although these furniture pieces were meant to be left in public space, I wanted to create objects that a user may retain partial ownership of even while someone else occupies the object.
