HARAP is a Do-it-yourself project I started late spring. It began with my frustration with the clothes shopping situation here in NYC (i could rarely find something that fits and i like + i can't afford to buy new clothes for spring and summer.) I decided to try making all of my clothes for this year by myself. This project is also a research project for me - As my goal is to establish a more environmentally sustainable and economically independent lifestyle, I have been wanting to learn how to make and maintain the most basic things you need in living. (ex: food, clothes, furniture, and a shelter) I am currently working on a series of furniture/shelter pieces in collaboration with Douglas Johnston.
